This one-hour program airs Tuesdays at 8:00 AM
and 6:00 PM, and Thursdays and Saturdays at 8:00 AM. It is a work-out
program that was recorded at the Centre Region Senior Center at 131 S.
Fraser Street in State College. The Senior Center hosts regular exercise
sessions. The exercise bands that appear in the program can be purchased
at the Senior Center. You can call the Senior Center at 231-3076.
Zesty Chair Exercises:

This is a 30-minute program similar to Strength
Training for Senior Citizens. It is a low-impact exercise routine that can
be done sitting down. This program airs Mondays and Wednesdays at 8:00 AM
and 6:00 PM, and Fridays at 8:00 AM. The exercise bands that appear in the
program can be purchased at the Centre Region Senior Center. You can call
the Senior Center at 231-3076.
Health in Hand:
Health in Hand is a syndicated, 30-minute program
that addresses health and health-related issues relevant to today’s
senior citizens. It provides Medicare information and tips for healthy
aging. A new episode is released monthly and alternates weekly with
Volunteer Time. Health in Hand begins airing Thursdays at 8:30 PM and airs
Saturdays at 7:30 AM, the following Mondays at 8:30 AM, Wednesdays at 6:30
PM, and Thursdays at 12:30 AM.
Military History Lectures:
Military History Lectures take place monthly at
the PA Military Museum in Boalsburg, PA. The Lectures generally range from
45 to 90 minutes in length. Topics include any number of aspects of any
number of American wars. The speaker generally has served in the US Armed
Forces and can provide his or her own testimonies. For more information

Civil War Roundtable Lectures:
Civil War Roundtable Lectures are educational
lectures or presentations that center around various elements of the Civil
War. This is usually a monthly event and the location varies. The program
usually runs 45 to 90 minutes in length. Speakers include Civil War
scholars and enthusiasts.
Army Newswatch:
Again, like Air Force TV News and Navy/Marine
Corps News, this is a 30-minute syndicated program produced by the US
Army. It targets viewers who serve and have served in the US Army, and
their families. It, too, is similar to a local news report but focuses on
news within and related directly to the Army. This program airs
every-other-week on Sundays at 3:30 PM, Mondays at 9:30 AM and 7:00 PM,
Tuesdays at 4:30 AM, and Thursdays at 1:30 AM and 9:30 PM – immediately
following Navy/Marine Corps News. It alternates weekly with Air Force TV
News.
Around the County:
This weekly program highlights happenings in
Centre County and provides viewers with detailed information on upcoming
local events and activities. At least once a month the show spotlights a
special event or recreational activity, which features on-location
interviews and footage. Community members are encouraged to submit
information on local community events for Around the County. E-mail

This program airs Thursday at 8 p.m., Friday at 12 p.m. and Saturday at 7
a.m. The show is approximately 15 minutes long and is directly followed by
"Weather or Not".
Weather or Not:
Penn State Meteorology students produce this
fun and informative 15-minute weekly weather program. The show includes a
weather forecast, entertaining weather featurettes and trivia, interviews,
and an amusing ongoing high/low temperature prediction contest among the
hosts. This program airs back-to-back with Around the County.
C-NET Weather Forecast:
The C-NET Weather Forecast is produced daily by
Penn State Meteorology Students. It is a three- to five-minute weather
forecast for the State College, PA area. The program airs daily (excluding
holidays and school vacations) at 5:55 PM during the school year.
